“I’m Silvia Arballo, a purple belt at Ocean Beach Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I teach a women’s fundamentals class on Fridays at 6:30 PM, open to all levels. Empowering women is my passion, and my students inspire me to stay on top of my game.”
"My name is Christian Rogers and I am a purple belt at 10th Planet San Diego under Richie “Boogeyman” Martinez. I have been training for 5 years. I like to compete at least once every other month. Being a mom makes it a little harder, but I am always hungry, I love the challenge. I just want to show my kids that no matter how old you are, you can still chase your dreams. I am so glad to have found jiu-jitsu, I love being part of this community and love competing alongside badass women!"
Hello, my amazing Jiu-st Girls community, name is Laura Anderson. I am a purple belt training under Nick Bohli at Orange County Regional Training Center in Huntington Beach. I fell in love with Jiu jitsu when I was 23 years old and the only thing that has changed between then and now is that my love for it has only expanded. I have been blessed with many opportunities through Jiu jitsu. I was able to make a college wrestling team, pursue my Career in MMA, and travel and see the world. Jiujitsu has made me a more stronger, confident, and resilient woman in this male dominated sport. Now that I am transitioning from MMA to Jiu jitsu full time I am excited for this sponsorship with Jiu-st Girls and to be able to represent their vision in competition and in the practice room."
Natalie is the founder of Jiu-st Girls. She trains out of Hurricane Brazilian Jiu-jitsu in Palm Springs CA. She decided to start the Jiu-st Girls brand to embrace women culture and to break down the negative affect on how women are looked at while dressed in style.
